With your help, on April 5th, 2011 Derek Grier made history by becoming the youngest Councilmember in the City of Chesterfield’s history. Derek won the election with a record setting 69% of votes in his district in a city of more than 47,000 residents. This extraordinary victory is due to all of those who helped spread the word about Derek’s campaign and his message of common sense governance.

It is a great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve my neighbors, friends, and City as an elected official. Without the support of my wife, family, and all of those who stepped up to aid our campaign efforts, I would not have this opportunity. Thank you. Each of you who voted for me, contributed financially or with your spirit and enthusiasm, and those who rolled up their sleeves and got your hands dirty by knocking on doors etc., each of you has my most heartfelt gratitude.
I take these new responsibilities and your trust, very seriously. Every citizen deserves to have their voice heard, and to be well represented by our government. I want to hear from you.
